Employed and looking

This is a great article to ponder on.

In my experience, the situations that trigger a job search are:
- No professional growth
- Tension with peers or worst, with the boss
- Not making enough money. You feel that you’re underpaid and overworked.
- Promotion/demotion issues
- Unchallenging work

There could be more but these are all I can think of, for now.
I agree that we shouldn’t stop looking for a job. If there are opportunities to tackle on more responsibilities, whether it’s an internal position or a job offered by a competitor, go for it.

While you’re looking for a better job, don’t slack off in your current job. Learn everything you have to learn. Attend workshops, trainings and get a good mentor in your company. Continuously brush up your skills as these would certainly work to your advantage in the industry you are in. Headhunters are always on the lookout for exceptional talent. You may not have to do a job search to find that perfect job at all. The headhunters would lead you to it.

thanks for this blog. i definitely agree with your post. maximize learning and equipt yourself to become a good employee. when the opportunity knocks, check it out first, if it will fit you and benefits outweigh risk, then you decide whether to go for it or not.

basta, always evolve....
